Chi-Town Reggae is our JazzReggae sound. Although I greatly revere roots reggae, I never want to imitate Jamaican reggae music, Instead, we fuse our reggae with the jazz and blues of Chicago, along with the tremendous musicians I was Blessed to work with. My concept was that Bob Marley, Muddy Waters and Sonny Stitt gathered at the Checkerboard Lounge on 43rd street and jammed all night long and came up with this jazzreggaeblues. Our sound is authentic and unique, a valid art form.
